Toppers are pretty but don't work for my needs. However, the trimmer and snuffer are exactly what I wanted and needed. Worth it!

Got just the wick trimmer, which the description says is stainless steel. The trimmer is nice metal, fastened with a metal rivet. Blades are angled and cut well. I do not believe it is stainless steel - for a magnet sticks just as hard to the trimmer as it does to my metal filing cabinet. Hard stick. Even lower grade 304 stainless will stick slightly, not hard. In contrast, non-alloyed steel tends to hold an edge better. This is nicely coated with a brownish finish and maybe a clear coat on top of that. Looks nice. The joint area has some residual oil, which will help keep it from rusting. It is a nice piece, just not stainless.

I purchased this as a gift for someone who needed just the snuffer but when I saw the whole set I assumed she would love it. And she does. For $25 the quality is actually really stunning. The detail is so nice and all the pieces are heavy and not hollow or cheap feeling at all. Even the presentation is nice. It looks and feels like a $50-70 set. Super pleased and highly recommend!

Great value! Makes a perfect gift. The lids fit perfect on my large yankee candles. If you are looking for a lid this is like getting two lids for the price of one and the lid is very sturdy. The other items that come with this set are a bonus! The candle scissors cut perfectly. Arrived in a nice black box with everything packaged very nicely. I am keeping this for my own candles but if you need a nice gift that is good looking and very presentable I am sure this would look nice under the Christmas tree.I really this set and it's great quality.
