Soft, grippy, rubbery plastic to grip both your cues and the table! And this thing is weighted heavily! Combined with its textured grip on the bottom, it holds on to flat surfaces very well!I only wish its dimensions were a little smaller in both Width & Length(thickness is fine). Dimensions listed on this specific item are correct, where others(knockoffs & non-branded) that look the exact same have dimensions listed different.

Works great. It beats leaning the stick up against the table or a wall and getting chalk on everything you lean the stick against. Handy to have right there on the table when you need to put your stick down during play.

We both play pool on Sundays and Wednesdays; because we have his and my sticks, a break stick and a bridge, we needed a new holder. This fits the bill AND it holds our chaulk too!

I've only used it once, but it worked great. Nice and heavy so it didn't move even when it was on a round table top. I didn't need the chalk so I left it at my local bar for everyone to use.
