I have a 100 percent stock drz 400 and in no way would this ever fit unless you were to remove plastic and duct tape to forks. Total waste of time and money.

Only 3 stars due to fitment and I haven’t actually rode the bike at night. You will need longer hardware and I wouldn’t trust what they supplied. The daytime running light is a nice touch, but it for some reason has a red hue to it. Not sure how that will be taken by the law. It for sure looks way better and I hope it’s as bright at night. I may be changing my review after that.

Plug and play connection. The housing and bracket do fit with a little bit of forceful effort. I was missing some hardware so I had to rummage around for some. Made it work. Looks cool. Very bright.

The light was easy to install, and took the bike from a four to a seven. 😜

This LED light is a perfect fit replacement for the woefully obsolete stock DRZ lighting unit. There are no supplied instructions but replacement is pretty straight forward. Remove the number plate, remove and unplug the stock light, mount the included bracket on the new light (with the Riv-nut at the top), secure the now loose solenoid with a zip tie, plug in the new unit and install in the same mounting receptacle as the old unit. You will be reusing the stock mounting bolts but incorporating a nut on the bottom bolts. There is an extra wire for the new light and I spliced that in to the low beam circuit or you could run it to a switch. It doesn't add that much brightness so you can elect to not use it. The only drawback to the LED unit is you loose the ability to adjust beam height with the number plate in place. The new unit is much brighter and looks modern. I didn't measure but it likely draws less power than the stock unit. That's a big concern on the DRZ as there isn't a lot of spare charing power. Don't bother trying to replace your bulbs to get adequate brightness, this unit is the way to go.

This was a direct replacement. You take the cowling off remove the stock light and bolt this one right in. You may have to do some slight trimming on the cowling but it is very minimal and not noticeable. The lighting is hands down much better than factory stock lights. The high beam and low beam work as expected.I couldn't be happier. I can't even explain the difference between the lighting. You just have to experience it.
