I placed one under each corner of a rack that holds two 50 lb. Core Twistlock Dumbbells. These 4" square pads are a very dense rubber material. They do not have much odor, even straight out of the package. What odor there is smells like rubber or tires. They had a slight curvature, but flattened out under the weight of the rack and dumbbells. My wife will be happy that the plastic feet of the stand are not resting directly on our hardwood floors.

These equipment pads are a good size and hardness for heavy exercise equipment. They deaden the sound and protect the floor from damage. They provide stability and prevent movement of equipment while using. I would purchase them again.

I’ve been using these mats for a couple of years and use them on all my exercise equipment; treadmill, bench, squat rack, etc. I recommend for providing stability and protect your floor.
