This was the only place I could find the all thread size I needed! Good stuff and the cost wasn’t that bad compared to standard sized all thread.

Was making a couple of makeshift tools so I needed a longer threaded rod, and the nuts. The tools are for measuring and setting the frame of an e-bike, where the dropouts for the motor are wider than normal. The rods were well finished and cut, so the nuts moved on them easily, with very little wiggle motion.

I will be using these in an Arduino based automatic coil winder project that I am working on. I'm using one of the rods as a lead screw that holds the head that guides the wire from the source wire spool to the target choke spool that is being wound. Two of the other rods will be used to hold the source and target spool reels. I was attracted to the 0.8mm thread pitch which would enable the winding of 40 awg and thinner magnet wire. The diameter of 40 awg wire is 0.07874mm. In full step mode, the lead screw should move 0.004mm so in order to lay the wire coils side by side it should take 20 steps of the motor and there should be good accuracy and precision hopefully. I'll be using 5mm bearings to hold the rod ends which are readily available and inexpensive. The rods seem well made to the eye, and M5 nuts fit with no noticeable backlash. I'll test out the feasibility of using them, as an inexpensive lead screw, with a dial gauge before I get too far into the project. I'll report my findings later.Note that there may be better deals for M5 threaded rods on Amazon. As always, you might want to search before you buy.

These rods are just what I needed to build a model stand. The poles are long enough that I can insert both the model and stand side with great length. This way it is very secure and doesn't wobble. One pole can hold up a very big model, but I still need some stabilizers so I use plastic rods for stabilizing. I use M5 metal inserts on both ends to hold these rods in place. The rods are very strong. I don't think you can accidentally break them. They screw into M5 inserts very smoothly. I am planning on using the other rods to make a stand for different directions since they are so strong. I might also use the rods to make a small shelf. I could probably get away with using only one rod for a small shelf and the other legs will be wood or plastic.
