A flange nut is a nut with a wide flange at one end and can be used as an integrated non-rotating washer.
This is used to distribute the pressure of the nut on the parts to be fixed, thereby reducing the chance of damage to the parts and reducing the possibility of loosening of the parts due to uneven fastening surfaces.
The flange can be serrated to provide a locking effect. The serrations are angled to prevent the nut from rotating in the direction of loosening the nut.
Because of their serrations, they cannot be used with washing machines, nor can they be used on surfaces that cannot be scratched. The serration helps to avoid vibration of the nut and increase the retention of the nut.
Fine thread pitch: 1.25mm is made of 304 stainless steel, with strength and good corrosion resistance. Used in many applications in the home, farm, business, automotive and industrial fields.

I used testing the thread quality of bolts used in hitch racks. These were machined correctly. I also bought matching bolts from Amazon - Brick and Mortar store Home Depot didn't carry them - didn't want to drive elsewhere. Price listed from this web site looked reasonable. I notices same size was listed with multiple prices depending on SKU and timing - price may vary. I started ordering more hardware parts from Amazon.

Bought these screw nuts, and let me tell you, they're the unsung heroes of my DIY sitcom. I put them on my bolts, and suddenly my furniture thinks it's a stand-up comedian – everything's held together by sheer comedic genius. These nuts are so versatile; they're practically the Swiss Army knives of the hardware world. If they had a catchphrase, it would be, "Hold tight, we've got this!" Got a set of nearly new bilsteins a friend took off his truck during a lift. I didn't get the nuts for the top of the shock/strut. Could not find these at local hdw stores, they worked great on the Bilsteins.

I purchased Bilstein 5100s which are adjustable, but Bilstein provides a locking nut that can only be used one time or they will mess up the threads. I replaced the locking nuts with these flange nuts along with jam nuts to lock the flange nut in place.

The description is M12 x 1.25. They did not fit so I tried them on a M12 x 1.5 and they fit fine. Big difference. I almost ruined a piece of equipment trying to get them to fit.

Fit on a front bafag ebike wheel hub motor, threads on good, has groved textred under side for biting onto whats being mounted ..looks ok, its a nut peeps.. thats about it..
