This is a high quality adapter that I used as an extender. I wanted to locate a "smart plug" (an Alexa controlled power switch) where the only source of power was an AC outlet recessed in the floor. The smart plug would not clear the AC outlet housing and go deep enough to reach the AC. This item brought the AC up above floor level by about an inch and the smart plug fit nicely, allowing a neat install without an extension cord or bulky surge protector strip. The price seems a bit high to me, but the quality is good.

Hey this was a life saver and was affordable. We installed a window unit and saw it was with a standard plug but one with only one prong vertical and other horizontal. We went to the store my husband saw and outlet that had one horizontal snagged the face and box for it and when we installed the new outlet and he grabbed to plug to plug that AC in we realized the horizontal prong was on the opposite side 🤦🏻♀️ lol all that work and now the store is closed…no AC tonight. Well he did our homework this time and found this adapter and got it shipped next day. Used it until we could get our electrician out to dedicate a sole breaker for it to have the right outlet. Learning experience for sure 😆 but I’m all for it!

I needed this in a pinch. It is not my favorite or preferred solution but has been working just fine. Biggest draw back is it has a tendency to fall out of the wall since the cord dangles too far off the wall. This may only happen in my particular case of needing this product. Best thing is I did not have to swap my outlet as this was a far easier solution.

A great product is you want full access to all your outlets. The male end of this adapter is low profile, which allows you to get larger plugs up and out of the way. Very happy with it, and will probably order more just to have on hand just in case.

This adapter feels sturdy and well built. After using for 20 minutes there is no hint of warmth or other bad signs.It should be obvious but after reading a number of negative reviews I just have to say that THIS IS NOT A VOLTAGE CONVERTER!!!! What it does is allow already compatible electric devices to connect despite incompatible plugs and receptacles. In my case I had built a plug in temperature controller specifically for 240 volt, 20 amp supply line but all the components (PID, electronic relay, van, panel meter) are rated for 110v through 240v except the wall plug which is 240v 20amp. When I later decided to use it for a 110v application it was quick and easy to just buy plug adapters and it works perfectly because I am plugging in a 110v rated device. If one were to plug in a 220/240v device as the receptacle end of this adapter allows a range of things could happen with most of them bad and some potentially deadly.

Exactly what I needed to adapt 20a to 15a, just make sure to not actually consume more current than the 15a circuit is rated for obviously.
