These work well for what we need them for. They don't work for extra large chicken eggs but I found that if you put two larger eggs in the middle and the remaining small eggs, the carton will shut just fine. For the amount of eggs we get daily, these cartons are perfect. They stack nicely and stay shut.

These work OK if you have nothing else to use. If your eggs are anywhere from medium to large, they will touch the top & bottom and will be very prone to cracking.I had to but paper in the sack to protect eggs because the plastic won't close with large eggs. Had a few Crack just sitting the cartons on the counter. They need to be slightly bigger

The cartons won't close with large eggs from backyard chickens, carton is shaped for more "egg shaped" eggs that are smaller (like eggs from grocery stores). If you have hens that lay smaller eggs, maybe Easter Eggers, these may work great. Large egg layers, they do not work. Otherwise, good for the money and sturdy
