The materials are lower grade than the OEM and the product is slightly larger. Out of the package it ships with a nasty camber in it, which seems to go away when tightening the pad to the sander body. I put a straight edge up to it after a day, and it looked OK. I would keep one of these just as a back up but definitely find the original equipment to be a much better replacement.**Update, after using, I would not recommend this product for any reason. The pad is uneven, therefore fine detail sanding will end up with dissimilar sanded areas. Avoid this product.

Few months ago I bought the RTS 400 and it has quickly become my favorite sander, I use it all the time and love it. Since I use it all the time, I have an interface pad on it and I figured it would be good to have a replacement pad, as I am sure I will wear the original one out using this so much.This pad pretty much looks like the genuine pad that comes with the sander. Side by side it is hard to tell the difference. One difference, the included screws with this one are smaller Philips head. I prefer the ones Festool uses, but these work fine. Pad fit on the sander perfectly, The bolt holes line up and most importantly, the dust collection holes line up.So far pads works as it should. Plenty "sticky", when it comes to sand paper or interface pad on, nice and tight. Sticks well. Like I've said, works like the original.One tiny thing, the included screws come in a small zipper plastic bag, which are placed in a bigger bag with the pad, and the bigger bag is sealed up, you need to cut it open. It would be nice if they put everything in zippered bags, so I could throw it all in the sander systainer and not lose the screws. Would help to keep everything together.Overall, good pad, okay price, would recommend.
