I got these particular doors and windows because of the selection available. My child has a fairy garden all around a small patio in our backyard. It's fairly protected but still outside so I know these won't last forever but for now what I've done is to have my kiddo use acrylic paint pens and then when they were dry, I sprayed them with spar urethane. We have a couple signs out front for our little free library and dog relief area that have lasted for years thanks to the spar urethane so I'm hoping these cute little doors last too!

Love these. The doors are really cute and the exact size I needed. The main selling feature for me was that the set included some traditional style doors, which I needed. None of the other sets included that style. I showed the to my sister and she loved the selection variety, and how well the detail was cut into the wood. It will make them so much easier and more fun to paint. Also, they are at a great price for all that’s included in the set.There are only 2 possible downsides that I can think of. The first is the thickness. These are very thin, and can’t stand alone. They need to be glued onto something. That is what I wanted, but might not work for everyone.The second is that the windows are a little larger, in scale, than the doors. That isn’t an issue for me on this current project, but could be on others. It all depends on your needs, and how “picky” you are or must be. If my project goes well, I will definitely order these again.

As soon as my daughter’s first tooth became loose, I decided that we need to have fairy doors all over the house. Since she has 4 different households that she floats in between, with these doors the Tooth Fairy will be able to find my daughter wherever she is when her teeth fall out.The material is super lightweight, so getting them placed & attached on the walls was incredibly easy.I began decorating them using different brands of markers (crayola, sharpie, bic), but found that they run too easily, which made it hard to stay within the lines without bleeding.The next medium I tried was PrismaColor brand colored pencils, which worked *PERFECTLY*. The colors came out bright & beautiful, making Prismas the only medium that I’ll be using for this project.Pros:Easy to decorateLightweightGreat priceCons:None that I can think of!
