I feel like a real sucker pay this much for thread tape. One of the reviews sold me on the cost compared to the frustration of doing the job over several times for Joe Smith homeowner. I must admit I was skeptical but wow was I impressed. Sometimes you have a good seal but a valve is not the direction you want and going around another does not worked. I was over the tight position but the valve was not the direction I wanted. I backed it off a little to test the theory.....Wow was I shocked with no leak. A must have.

I purchased this for new stainless steel fittings. I put 4 full wraps on 3/4" fittings and I still had a leaking situation on 1/2 dozen connections. What's the sense in buying a specialized product if it does not work ? The worst part is now I had to take the whole project apart in order to redo the leaking connections. Even when redone again there were still some leaks warranting another redo. By now the fittings have taken a beating and look like old junk and a losing deal for me wasting so much time and effort to get the job done right.

Live and learn... Tried to seal stainless pipes with standard Teflon, and made a hell of a mess. Did a little research and figured out how I'm really supposed to do it. Nice long rolls, thick heavy duty tape, and now no leaks.
