Perfect replacement carb for Husky 455 Rancher. Carb matches up identically and all parts are good quality.

I watched a couple of YouTube vids on how to swap the carb.Fitted it in about 40 mins.It started fairly easily, but wouldnt idle, turned idle screw in 3 turns & now it works great.Air filter wouldn't fit, used a Husq filter instead.

They worked like oem, easy to put on and had to adjust them just a hair. Would buy again.

I have a Husqvarna 455 rancher chainsaw and after leaving it with a tank of old gas for a year or so it stopped running as it should. I have tryed all adjustments and watched a ton of videos on how to tune it but to no avail, even called a repair shop and they gave me an estimate of $200 for carb cleaning and adjusting. I have paid $400 for this thing and did not used it all that much over the years and I was considering to just toss it. I thought to give this $25 carburetor a try before I do that and what a good thing this was. Carburetor arrived promptly in one day and after replacing it my chainsaw works again like it should! Kit comes with all the necessary hoses, priming bulb and even a sparkplug. Watch some videos on YouTube for tips. What I found in my case is that I shouldn't use the small gaskets that come with the kit, my original carburetor had no gaskets installed but I installed the ones in the kit. That caused somehow the chainsaw to stall at full throttle. I removed the gaskets and all is well. Installation is somewhat difficult, you need patience and like I said watch some videos before. I used all the hoses in the kit and the priming bulb, everything fit as it should. The little blue plastic piece can be disengaged as to facilitate the throttle linkage-that helps a lot with the assembly. Like others here said the air filter that comes with the kit did not fit well and I did not spend to much time trying to install it , I just used the old one. Great value for the money, it saved me throwing away a good chainsaw!

Inherited a nearly new Husqvarna 455 from a relative. Saw would not run above half throttle. Adjusting carb did not help. Diagnosed the original carb to be defective as I have a 460 (same carb) and was able to switch them out.I purchased an OEM carb rebuild kit, but continued to experience the same issue.I then purchased a different aftermarket carb on Amazon and saw would not run at all. That one was of very poor quality. (The blue clip that holds the throttle control would not stay in place. The L/H adjustments were very flimsy plastic and appeared seized up.)I purchased this carburetor and installed it. Saw started right up. Idle as well as L/H seem to be set nearly perfect. The L/H adjustments are of much better quality too. I adjusted the high just slightly. As others have said, the air filter does not fit until you file down some of the plastic. I used my Dremel with my chain sharpener bit to grind down the plastic where it was obstructed.Watch YouTube for removal of old carb and installation of new one.Saw runs great now. Good luck!!

I bought this knowing full well that it's a cheap replacement carb and would likely be a may-fit scenario in several regards. It delivered right at expectations. The air filter included, doesn't fit. It can be shaved/filed/dremel'd to fit at least as close as I can reasonably inspect. It is of clearly "close enough" production quality, again, about what I expected for the price. The carb looks a lot like what came off. There are a couple differences, one piece in particular, the choke-engaged throttle stop, is metal on the original and plastic on this one. That part required rework, I had to tweak the throttle lever to get the choke-throttle catch to engage at all.The EPA adjustment screw limters arrived cracked. The carb could not be adjusted to run (I live at 5k feet elevation) properly at my altitude with them installed. I was expecting to have to remove them anyway. One of the gaskets had to be trimmed to fit as it didn't clear ears on mating pieces. The fuel line included, the primer bulb, and the carb, are set up for slightly smaller than original (for my Husqvarna 460 saw) sizes. The fuel filters are much larger nipple size than the fuel line included. That's sort-of a problem collectively: the fuel lines included are 5 and 6 millimeter OD; the tank grommets are made for 5.5mm OD fuel line. So you have to change all of the fuel lines for this to be right, and the tank grommets will be a "may-leak" situation; if you have (or get) brand-new ones, they'll probably be OK, trying to use this with age-hardened tank grommets will be an unpleasant experience. Changing all the fuel lines on the saw is a good idea, if you need a carb, you probably need new lines, and new line is included in this kit, but it's time consuming. If you try to do a quick-n-dirty job of this, just change the hard parts and leave the fuel lines, expect leaks. I knew about the fuel line tank grommet situation from replacing the fuel lines before on this saw, so this was not surprising to me, but 5.5mm OD fuel line is tricky to source without either buying OEM or a large roll of it.

You get what you pay for, this is a cheap kit, the carbureator has set idle screws that can NOT be adjusted, Came factory set and the low idle was way to high and the high idle was to low. The choke locked in place if you pulled it all the way open and will not close with the choke lever, had to take cover off and use screwdriver to push the choke back, then only half choke to keep it from locking up again, the air filter was wrong and would not fit my saw, 455 Rancher at all, the fuel line I got for the primer bulp busted first time I pumped it up and had to re use my old fuel line. Many issues with this set. Very cheap and not worth the trouble of sending it back.
