These pockets are a must-have for organizing my plastic totes in the basement! I have an almost-3-year-old, and I hope to have another in the future. This means that everything he has outgrown gets stowed in bins in the basement, along with other items I don't use every day like baking supplies, holiday decorations, etc. When I don't know what is in all of my bins and where I have stored things, I run the risk of purchasing doubles and just adding waste to our planet. Having an item like this to help me label my storage so I always know what is in there prevents me from wasting money on double items in the future, and saves me time searching for things. It's a small investment that has probably already paid for itself in my house.

Easy to apply. Great for storage bins especially if you use them for holiday decor. I use them in my sewing room also.

These were perfect for wrapping up (no pun intended) all of our Christmas decorations! Since we were going to be reorganizing the Christmas decoration tubs, we decided to tackle the whole garage. These are clear and stick well to the tubs. I did use some TSP to wipe down the surface of the tub where I planned to stick the label to be sure it was free of dirt and grime before attempting to stick something to it. So I cannot speak to how well they adhere to an "uncleaned" surface. The only reason I gave it a 4-star rating is because they came loose in an Amazon bag and got bent a little bit. When I received them, I had to have some of them sit under some heavy books for a couple of days.

When I chose these 5”x8” storage bin labels from jhwsxtek, I had in mind that I would use them width wise not lengthwise. I typically use clear bins to help with item identification but still need a bit of guidance or organization to help ensure that I can find things quickly. I never thought about measuring the available flat surface on my storage bins before ordering. My bins don’t have a large wide surface on the short ends. I typically store them with the short side showing and was pleased that I could turn the label pocket on end and still make it fit.The other concern I had was whether or not this would stick to the bins and stay, based on previous labeling attempts, for comparison. I put this label on and left it several days and found that it was still firmly attached and feels secure. I did find that applying a lot like contact paper. Starting at one end and smoothing along to the other end. Otherwise I ended up with bubbles under the pocket. It was simple to remove immediately and reposition.I am also pleased that the size works great with a standard letter sized piece of paper or card stock. This makes it much easier to format a label vs finding some sort of special label app or software to create a special size. The product that the pocket is made from / plastic or vinyl / is almost completely clear ( see photo ) I started to add the photo to my review without the highlighted area but realized that it was so clear that some people seeing the photo might not realize the label pocket was even there.I hope my thoughts and photos help someone.

About three years ago we re-organized a 10' x 10' pantry by storing most food products in tightly sealed plastic storage bins. Anything in cardboard boxes, plastic or paper packaging went into the bins, but canned good and resilient packaged goods were okay on our rolling wire shelf units. We labeled the bins with wide masking tape or duct tape, which made sense at the time. But over time we had to sometimes relabel bins as our storage needs changed. Removing the tape and replacing the labels was not as easy as we thought. And hand lettered labels were inconsistent, some were downright messy looking! We chose these 4" x 6" open-top, adhesive backed card pockets because changing the inserted card is so much easier than changing tape labels. The 4" x 6" size also allows for larger text on labels that is easier to see.You can print on plain white paper with an inkjet or laser printer or even on a 300-dpi thermal printer. The thermal printer is very fast and creates sharply defined and very dark black letters. We just use the 4" x 6" thermal adhesive-backed labels and leave the white paper on the backside, so they just slip into the plastic pockets. We can print on colored paper or color labels, too. Pink, light-blue- or neon-colored labels can make for some creative, color-coded or bold labels. These adhesive pockets have been a major upgrade to our large pantry, they look more professional than our previous hand-made labels and allow for rapid reorganization of storage strategies on demand! They can also be used on shelves and cabinets to allocate storage area for specific product categories. This has been so successful that we just ordered a set of 3" x 5" adhesive pockets to label some office items like storage drawers, cartons, cabinets, etc. We are also adding them to storage boxes in the basement and garage to more easily see where stuff is stored. We used to label storage boxes with a chisel-point Sharpie marker, but when the carton is re-purposed you have to line through the label and create a new one -- which looks messy. We think the 4" x 6" and 3" x 5" card pockets can meet all of our storage labeling needs.
