Your cart is empty.This electric calorimeter can be used to measure the potential heat capabilities of various solid or liquid fuels. The cover contains a mounted heating coil of about 1.5 ohms resistance with standard binding posts for electrical connection. When connected to a 6-volt battery, the coil will cause a temperature Rise of about 5 Degrees Centigrade in 10 minutes. The supporting posts and coil are coated to prevent Electrolysis. Also provided is an insulated stirrer supported by a rubber stopper.

Dislikes: the rubber stopper could be a little bigger. When pushing the thermometer in the stopper, it went through the cut out. It is better to put the stopper on the thermometer first then place it in the calorimeter.Likes: It has the clear top so students can watch reactions happening inside the calorimeter.It does not come with a extra blue cap to replace the thermal heater if not using it.
