I expected better quality for $120 price. Major shops have similar for $60. The stems are not that sturdy, a strong wind will bend them down (I'll test few day and post a follow-up). These are suitable for indoors or for covered patio. Size is 4 ft, not 4.2 ft as claimed. Looks nice from a distance if that's what you need. Leaves rotate easily which is nice. Pot is very small like in photos. You will need to spend extra for a two bigger pots. No assembly required. Overall bit pricey for quality it provides.

These are very well done faux palms. The fronds are extremely realistic, and the production design is excellent - the stems can be swiveled around, bent just about however much you want, resulting in a ton of flexibility for presentation. These are also a good size, adding interest without overwhelming a space. The pot is small but weighted well, and will fit easily into a planter of your choosing to match your taste.I'm extremely happy with this product and highly recommend these palms.

If you like the look of these Areca palms, you won’t be disappointed with the quality. They’re VERY full and VERY shapeable. All the stems originate from the base of the plant, and each individual stem can be fully shaped. You can keep the stems tighter together for a more compact and full plant, or you can spread the stems wide open. You can also bend the stems at the base of each leaf, allowing you to flatten the leaves out or you can just let them remain pointing up. And a great feature: all the leaves swivel on the stems, so you don’t have to worry about bending the stems while keeping the leaves in the right positions. Just bend away, then adjust the leaves into the proper positions to finish off the look. So you can give these Areca palms all sorts of interesting character.Another bonus: unlike other artificial palms I have tested and reviewed, the materials used in these are low odor. There’s barely any “plastic-y” smell at all. With others, I had to air them out in the garage for several days before bringing them into the house. I also really like the height – about 4 feet tall. This makes them very versatile. You can place them on the floor, or on low risers, plant stands, hearths, even end tables. One thing to note is they come cemented in very small black pots. These pots will hold the palms upright and their small size makes it great for tucking the palms behind furniture (as I did – see photos). But if you do want to place the palms in a position where the pots will be in view, you’ll want to purchase more decorative planters to complete the look.
