This extention pole was the perfect size to hang our lights on the roof. It extended to the very top of the second story! Good price too!

Quality material. Essy to use. Length lock holds well. The hook is a good design. Perfect for hanging my Christmas lights on the cherry tree.

They shipped the pole, but didn't include the utility hook. Now I am having to return this very long pole to get a replace unit and it will take 10 days to get here. As usual, Amazon was great about doing a return, but this is a real pain to return. The box is huge. How do you forget to put the utility hook in the box? Not happy with Extend-A-Reach's quality control.UpdateVERY disappointed. The utility hook was missing and I contacted Amazon. They said there was no way to just send me the missing utility hook. They said I have to return this 7 foot pole (in an 8 foot box) before they can send me a full replacement of pole and hook. After I left a review, Extend-a-reach messaged me that they would just refund my money and I could get another one, but that never happened. Now, Amazon is telling me I have to return it or I will be charged. I can't even fit it in my car! Their poor quality control has caused me a lot of hassle.

Filled birdseed silos are heavy. The extension arm at the top allows for the silos to swing. Soooo, part of the learning curve was figuring out how close to the feeder pole to stand to limit the swing and relieve arm strength fatigue. Also, learning how to use the four adaptations on the top. The boat hook pulled the silo arms into position. The pole extension clips work exceptionally well. The pole itself has heft. So far, the only negative is the description. It neither gave a maximum weight capacity nor specified the "material" used in the extension arm.I researched to find there are (about) 10 kinds of plastic with best-use info. The picture looked as if the arm was brittle plastic. As of now, the plastic is somewhat flexible and feels "long-lasting," termed by one online reference. My ladder days are over! The birds will be thankful I took a chance on the effectiveness of this tool.🥰

"Sturdy and Reliable" goes the advertising line. To a point, yes. There are 4 sections to this pole, and once past the 2nd one, things get pretty unstable. It is well built, and extends and retracts easily. The locking mechanism is solid and does not slip. But save yourself some money and don't get one of these longer than 20'. It just isn't solid enough to handle work at 25' - 30' off the ground.

I expected a rather flimsy, one-season use product. What I got was exactly the opposite. This extension pole is very sturdy, easy to use, and unlike some, comes with a very functional "hook" already installed. It will last for many Christmases, and kept me from having to get on the ladder or roof to remove lights after the season. It will also serve as a boat hook this summer when I take out my 14 foot fishing boat. It will make launching the boat by myself much easier. A good product at a good price, a unique bargain.
