These are "latching" and polarity sensitive. They are only useful where the magnetic field is reversing, such as in a motor, not useful to determine if a door (or other object) is open or closed. Ron W4BIN

I replace hall sensor in a EUC Gotway Msuper v3 with this sensors (S41F) and now my wheels work like a new one !!!
