Great value for the money they work just fine and are way cheaper than I can buy locally at any big box stores.

no need to buy a different drill bit. I just used a 1/2in. drill bit for the hole and the used 10mm allen on my 1/4 impact and it worked great. do not get close to the edge of lumber or it will split. but all in all great product. this was for a butcher block table with metal legs i ordered and attached with these inserts.

I had a dining set with some chairs that rocked and also rolled on casters. After a while the holes holding the casters got widen and the casters would fall out. I screwed these inserts into the holes on the bottom of the chair legs and then was able to insert the casters and they all have done great.

These work fairly well! If you don't drill your hole to the right diameter OR into really hard wood, the included hex wrench will begin to roll it's edges and slip. Just be mindful of the proper size of hole and depth.

I bought these to make threaded mounts on a rolling workbench for vises, bench grinder, and other tools. These worked great. I now have custom moubt locations on my rolling workbench. For the install, I drilled a 1/16" pilot hole where I wanted the insert, then drilled the main hole for the insert. Before installing the insert, I chamfered the top of the hole just a bit so after the insert was installed everything was flush.I also made my own "plugs" for the inserts I wasnt using to get dust, dirt, etc. out. I used threaded rod, cut to 1/2", then filed the top smooth, and cut a slot with a fine hacksaw blade. these fill the hole, and are easy to remove amd replace.

I needed a sturdy method to assemble a bed I was making. These inserts with 3/8 bolts worked great. The hex at the end made it easy to screw the inserts into the wood.
