This tough little pulley is just what I need to help me drag my small boat out of the water and up onto the bank. I have no shortage of trees that I can attach the pulley to, and being able to pull downhill (down the bank towards my boat) instead of uphill, makes dragging my boat out much easier.

This pulley is much nicer than anything you will find and the local hardware stores, probably more comparable to what you might find at a marine supply store if you happen to have one in your area. The components of the pulley seem to be pretty heavy duty considering the load limit, the only part that seemed a little smaller than expected and perhaps the weakest part of the assembly is the M6 threaded eyelet. I feel like that could be slightly larger like maybe M8 without sacrificing any strength in the thick metal pulley housing. The bearings in the sheave are pretty stiff, maybe that will loosen up over time but I would prefer a nice tight fit over a loose sloppy feeling bearing from day one. I plan to use this as part of the lifting mechanism for by four wheeler snow plow, I am confident it will work well for this.

I bought these to replace pulleys on dog runs. They are strong enough to handle any size dog or wooly beast.

I was surprised at how deep the rope grove was, but this works out even better as my flagpole replacement. The lubricated bearings are super smooth but just tight enough to prevent a free spin. There are no grabbing or serious resistance as long as there is a bit of weight in the pull.So far I have had no issues with this up in the air, but the mounting loop seems a bit on the small size for heavier loads. There is absolutely no load rating written on this pulley and I would almost guarantee that the failure point will be that mounting swivel ring.But my flag is back up and everything has held quite well for my area.

This review is for 40mm Cable Pulley Wheel Stainless Steel, Bearing Inside, Rope PulleyThe is a nicely built galvanized pulley that should easily hold the rated weight. There is a cast aluminum eye, about 16mm ID that freely swivels attached to the frame. The pulley will accept a 10mm diameter rope. There is 1.6mm clearance from the outside of the pulley to the frame, which makes it unlikely that the rope will come off the pulley and get trapped. There is no perceptible side to side play of the pulley. The bearings are fairly smooth and will work fine for the intended use.Overall, a good value and a solid piece of gear that should last for quite a while.I am planning to use this for raising antennas.
