I purchased this kit for our school library. The kids have been really into embroidery since it came in! There's everything you need to get started and there's so many colors to choose from! I am very happy with this purchase, and will be ordering another shortly to keep up with demand. You need to purchase canvas and hoops separately.

As described. In reality is quite small, so the amount of string you get is not very much, but in wide variety.

My children each have one of these and they are amazing!They take them to sleepover camp for bracelet making and end up sharing the string with all their friends.It keeps everything super organized and compact and is such fun to use and even just to look at.The string is fantastic quality and lasts forever because there are so many colours. Once every couple of years, we refill the most popular colours at our local craft store. Highly recommend.We added a compact/foldable pair of travel/sewing scissors to each kit for cutting string, along with some safety pins to attach to their water bottles for when they make the bracelets.

This is a great kit! I am a pretty experienced embroiderer and just thought I would try this organizer on a whim. I am so happy I did. The threads are nice quality. The caddy seems pretty sturdy and contains all the basics. I even like the pin cushion. Bravo!

This little kit was just what I needed. I was worried the quality would be poor but it's not the thread is great and the variety of colors is awesome and for what you pay you are really getting your money's worth. I love that it's all easy to organize in the little case as well.

I honestly wanted this just for the thread; I bought some cross stitch patterns and planned to use it to relax in the evenings away from social media. I have needles and so on already, but didn't need them as everything is in the box. You have a pincushion, needles, scissors, and needle threader!I ordered this kit over others because the threads have DMC numbers, were already on bobbins, and had 250 colors so I should be able to get some stitching in before I need other colors. They were sorted by color so I emptied them all out and sorted by number, making a list of what I had at the same time. After filling each box in turn from my sorted piles, I put a note on each level so I'd know what numbers were in that one.I've started my first pattern and had most of the colors! If you end up needing more than one skein, you will need to get DMC since these are not sold individually. Colors may not perfectly match, but I'm amusing myself, not looking to please the cross stitch police!I am very pleased with the quality, sheen, and how well the thread sews without tangling. It's excellent for the price.

This was exactly what I was looking for when I picked up cross stitching again. It keeps everything organized and in one place, it has all the tools you’ll need, and there’s plenty of variety in colors to do basic projects. The only problem I have with it is that the spools of thread cannot be stored upright. I would like to be able to see the numbers on them at a glance, but if you stack them with the numbers on top, they’re too tall to shut the case all the way! Besides that, it’s a great place to start for cross stitching/embroidery. You might still need to buy a few extra colors if you’re looking to do something specific, but I’ve found close enough matches in this kit for everything I’ve worked on so far.
