Bamboo skewers are ideal because they are sustainable and have minimal splinters. These have pointed ends that make it easy to put food items onto. When barbecuing I’ve found that soaking them in water about 30 minutes first keeps them from charring on the grill. I’ve found a variety of uses for them beyond just grilling. When we have family get-togethers everybody likes it when I use them to make fruit kebabs. I’ve also used them for deli meat and cheese platters, swedish meatballs, and to hold ears of corn by stabbing them into the ends of the cob and trimming excess length. I’ve also found them handy for other household and craft uses.

I'm obsessed with these bamboo skewers - they're incredibly durable, easy to use, and add a touch of natural charm to any dish! Whether I'm grilling up veggies, meat, or seafood, these skewers make cooking and serving a breeze.

I ordered these for an event I held hosting 60 people. We used these for kebabs and corn on the cob pieces. They were perfect. Held up to the weight of the food and the heat of the fire. Much thicker than the skewers one finds in a supermarket. I had no issues with splintering, but I did soak the sticks overnight before using. Highly recommend.

I wanted the shorter ones that you can use to spear pickles and mix drinks with. I will have to cut these in half. They work wonderfully for larger pickles, but they're HUGE.

I’ve previously considered investing in metal skewers primarily because I had a past bad experience with another retailer’s bamboo skewers shedding some of the slivers into my food. However, I’ve been hesitant to do so for the sake of sustainability; bamboo grows quickly, can be harvested repeatedly, and being organic, quickly decomposes. Not so with metal.Part of the problem with my previous bad experience was the fact that I didn’t know how to properly use bamboo skewers for cooking—that you actually need to **soak them in water** prior to cooking for at least thirty minutes or longer if needed. This will stop them from splintering. If you’re making kebabs, it also helps to spray the skewers with a little oil spray so that the meat and or veggies can slide right off without sticking. The item was neatly arranged, with the skewers evenly divided into four plastic cellophane bags of about 100 skewers each (I only counted one bag). These four bags were then placed inside a large clear ziplock bag for easy storage. For people interested in the environment, I recommend these bamboo skewers over their metal counterparts. The wooden skewers are smooth to the touch, the product is environmentally sustainable, and they can be used for a whole host of things (e.g., hang-drying beef jerky, and etc.). Nobody—and I mean NOBODY—loves gadgets more than me. I would love to purchase a set of fancy metal skewers. But over the years I’ve become increasingly worried about the carbon footprint that I’m leaving behind, and I firmly believe that bamboo is one of the many answers that can help us to achieve a less destructive impact on the earth. Go green!

This is a fantastic set of wooden skewers for all your cooking needs. We frequently use skewers out on our grill and in our air fryer to make a variety of things. These are much nicer than the basic ones I've typically picked up in grocery stores. These are thicker and easier to work with. As a pack of 400, this set should last you a while!

Just what I needed. I love this is a large bulk amount as we bbq so much during the summer. They are on the thinner side so I just double up for heavier foods. Great!
