Received this 19 days after placing order which is al4 weeks earlier than forecasted. Lay ins and frets are well made. Black finish is matte without the epoxy gloss finish which may be prone to wear and fingerprints. Looks straight, feels solid and far less expensive than other suppliers. Will update the review after installation and playing on it for a year (est. April 2024). Hope it doesn't bow easily. But appears slightly narrower than what I had previously (Silvertone from Amazon)

This neck looks good cosmetically and is straight. Frets needed a polish but we're fairly level. The tuner holes are drilled out slightly larger than 18mm so the tuner bushings will fit loose, and the holes are positioned closer to the edge than they should be so I had to trim the back of the top tuner plate so it didn't stick out.

This was installed on a black Squier 40th Gold P Bass that I wanted to convert to a Jazz neck with matching headstock. The neck looks exactly like in the pictures, so you'll know what you're getting here. The open gear tuners were a close fit, and the tuning peg holes had to be drilled out slightly to fit the bushings, but they're fine. Frets looks pretty good, though have some roughness at the ends. Had to file the nut, but that's expected. The fretboard and inlays has some roughness to them compared to my other necks with rosewood and block inlays.I used some fine grain sandpaper and Scotchbrite pads to wet sand the fretboard, fret ends and binding, and the back of the neck (I hate gloss finishes) and everything is much smoother feeling and playing. After that the inlays kind of "lit up" since the rough finish was blocking some of the light from reflecting. My only real complaints here are:* Side dots aren't perfectly aligned.* There's some inconsistency where the binding meets the fretboard. A lot of tiny spots where you see wood overlap the binding, but only noticeable up close.Overall the neck plays great so far, and it's a pretty good value for the price with a little bit of work.
