When I ordered the BAMBOO RECYCLING BIN FOR KITCHEN WITH 4 COMPARTMENTS, I was really hoping it would be able to do the heavy lifting in our kitchen. After setting it up, which was quick and easy and took less than 15 minutes, I'm happy to say I am very pleased with the overall construction and quality of this recycle caddy.It was smaller than I expected it to be, but oh my goodness, did it ever make a difference in our kitchen. Setting this up enabled me to get rid of 3 large boxes and one huge bag that used to take up space on the kitchen floor near the garage door. Even at our last house, everything needed to recycle everything correctly always made such a mess. Our recycling service doesn't let us combine different kinds of recyclables. I've lived in Oregon for over five years, and it's been that way in both counties I have lived in here.We separate glass from the other recyclables. I also have a lot of cardboard boxes that need to be broken down into very small pieces with their labels and stickers removed—that is, if I want the recycling truck to pick up my cardboard at all. I also keep a 13-gallon garbage can in the kitchen for any garbage that is not recyclable. It takes up a lot of space to have all those containers for different kinds of refuse. This unit right here seems to be exactly what I've been looking for. It sits at the back of the kitchen right near the garage door. Even though it's got inner sacks on the three pull-out garbage cans, I don't want to be washing them out, so I chose to use regular plastic disposable garbage bags to line each bag with. The shelf on the top is the perfect place to store those plastic bags.I use the bottom drawer for my small pieces of cardboard. It's perfect for that. do have one leftover bag because I'm using this only for recyclables. My regular garbage can still sits over next to the sink where I need it to be for convenience.I hoped this would be worth the price, and it is extremely well-made. It is easy to pull the garbage bags in and out individually. The 13-gallon sacks I line the canvas bags with mean I won't need to wash the canvas bags, even though I could safely run them through the washer if you choose not to go the disposable bag route.As soon as I got rid of my mismatched boxes, this little unit made my kitchen look 100% neater and way less chaotic. I couldn't be happier with the way it looks and the way it fits in my kitchen. Everybody needs a system like this if they live in an area where they aren’t allowed to combine their recyclables.Highly recommended!

I was curious if this recycling bin was something I would actually use. We have been using a plastic trash can and then sorting items when it was full. This multi-bag bin with a drawer underneath was a pleasant surprise, and it will simplify the recycling process. It was much sturdier than I thought it would be. The bamboo is solid and it was very easy to put together (25 minutes). The screw holes were pre-drilled and the outside edges were countersunk for the screw heads. This made using the supplied allen wrench easy. The removable bags are easily attached and are very leak resistant. They each have a drawstring so they can be closed and tossed into the car. I showed the top shelf of the bin where I put my toaster for perspective. My toaster is larger than a standard size. I plan to also put my cappuccino maker on top as the shelf is more than sturdy enough to hold it.
