I've been using this type of letter opener for years, but the blade finally got too dull to be useful. I finally found these on Amazon, ordered them, and am again ripping through piles of mail (mostly junk) quickly and easily. The slim design fits easily into envelope flaps and the sharp blade quickly slices open letters. Most of the items I purchase through Amazon seem to be things that third-party vendors are glad to be rid of. These are great, especially for an old guy like me with gnarled, arthritic hands due to sixty years of surfing the waves of the cold North Pacific Ocean. Great buy, great price, and a lifetime value, at least for me.
