I bought these primarily to use them on a propane camp stove at my cabin. The stock factory knobs were both too small in diameter, and broke over time from use--broke from inside the D insert opening. I had repurposed wooden knobs by drilling a small hole in their side and added a small cut off screw in them to press and lock against the flat side of the D shaped valve. These are a much better solution. They are thicker than the original factory knobs and somewhat larger in diameter. They look like they're built to perform a long time without breaking the inside that goes over the prongs. They are also suitable for larger diameter knobs on big propane grills, their diameter small enough to fit well on the small stove yet large enough to fit well on the bigger portable grills. I looked all over for these, only found overly large propane stove/ovens which were too large in diameter. Two of these will go right on the propane camp stove and the other two will serve as spares, one perhaps on an old apartment size propane oven/stove. These are versatile as well as strongly made.
