Pros- Complete 4-piece set includes a chitarra pasta cutter, rolling pin, drying rack, and dough scraper for authentic pasta-making- Wooden construction provides a traditional feel- Chitarra cutter allows for making fresh spaghetti and fettuccine with a unique texture- Drying rack helps properly air-dry pasta to prevent sticking and clumping- Ideal for homemade pasta enthusiasts or as a thoughtful gift for Italian cooking loversCons- Wooden components require proper care to prevent warping or cracking over time, especially because the wood is not finished or oiled- Chitarra strings need tightening and maintenance for consistent cuts which is not easy to do on this. The wires arrived already stretched and uneven. Which completely defeats the purpose of using this.- Drying rack has limited capacity for large batches of pasta- Rolling pin and dough scraper are basic and not as versatile as standalone professional tools

Overall I like this device. I have a metal hand cranked roller type pasta machine and I'm not really sure which I like better. Time will tell.Pluses:This device is simple with no assembly required (except for the drying rack) and has no moving parts. You can make spaghetti type pasta and fettuccine, the two kinds of pasta I use most. It's fun to use; reminds me of playing with PlayDoh.Drawbacks:The wood is unfinished and I worry about how it will hold up if it gets wet repeatedly. It doesn't say what kind of wood it is but it looks and feels like a softwood. I rubbed mine with some oil that I use on my butchers block.Cleaning the wires without submerging the entire tray is tricky. There's not a lot of space under the wires to wipe them clean. It comes with no instructions at all. A video on the Amazon ad shows how to roll pasta across the wires, something you could probably figure out yourself without too much trouble, but it answers none of my questions. No recipes are included, so you'll have to find instructions to actually make and cook the dough elsewhere.I recommend this pasta maker.
