Great silencer. Put the top one 1/4 of the string length from the top and the bottom one 1/3 of the string length from the bottom.

This product is the same as what other suppliers sell. The difference here is that the price is a bit lower and the product is a bit more. There are four 6 inch strips supplied. I cut one strip into two 3 inch pieces which is sufficient for the upper and lower positions on my bow string. This means that this one order will silence four bow strings. GREAT VALUE.

It makes it very hard to do a good job installing them. Usually you have to fuss and fiddle plucking them to get them apart and sepperated once they're tied on. These started coming apart from the get go out of the package and were a royal pain in the butt to tie on. Because of that I didn't do anywhere near and nice (tight/tidy) job as I would have liked. Lots of frustration and some profanity. I don't think I'd buy them again myself. But they are cheap, so if you don't mind fighting a little they're oaky. (honestly you'd probably be fine if you had a second set of hands to assist you, but solo they sucked to instal)

I've been installing these on bow strings for a long time. These whiskers were challenging to install because they kept falling apart when I tried to wrap them around the string no matter how gentle I was handling them. They are very long, I cut mine in half and doubled them up and still trimmed them. After installation and trimming they did not form the nice round ball of whiskers. Rather it looked very messy, as if the strands were too thin to support their own weight. I'm not satisfied with these at all.
