I try to eliminate my use of plastics where I can. This bamboo scraper absolutely gets the job done. In most situations, it is every bit as good as a plastic scraper. But the edges on this scraper just are not as fine and sturdy as the equivalent plastic scraper. So when something really needs to get almost sliced off, the plastic ones are better. The wood ones also seem to wear down a little bit faster. In my opinion, this is all fine because it is more than worth the tradeoff of eliminating plastic usage and purchases where I can. One advantage it does have over the plastic scrapers is that it can be used on hot metal. For example, when I cook burgers on a cast iron skillet and want to remove char from the hot pan, I can use this effectively. But a plastic scraper would melt. I would recommend this as an effective scrubbing tool that is not plastic.

These don’t feel like the best quality wood. But they get the job done.

The product is well made, sturdy and can be used for different uses! I use it on my stove, my pans, as a scraper, to flatten down stickers on the wall, the creativity is endless! One in the tool box, one in the kitchen! Perfect.

My new favorite scrubbing tool! Have had a plastic one from PC for years that came with a pizza stone, and this one is even better. It’s nice and sturdy, so you can really dig in and scrape with confidence. Easily removes stuck items from the pan and cleans up well unlike scrubby pads that get food bits stuck in them.

We use cast iron for most of our cooking. The plastic scrapers get brittle and either melt of chip. I use them daily and the first of four wooden ones is still going strong after a month. I will probably get 3-4 months out of each one using it daily. Easy to clean and durable. Well worth the cheaper price. Don't forget to oil your cast iron after every use and NO SOAP!

It is hard to clean between the grill. . A bigger size and wider edge will help.

I have used a lot of different pot cleaning tools over the years but recently read recommendation for a pot scraper like this. The recommendation was for a plastic one, but I am trying to reduce my plastic usage so I bought this, and I recommend it.The wood is hard so it wears slowly, probably not much faster than the plastic ones, depending on how much hard stuck on stuff you have. I have used one for more than a month and there are no significant signs of wear. I allow it to dry out between uses so that the wood is not softened from being waterlogged, but these do not seem to absorb much water anyway.Wood will not scratch non-stick coatings so I use this on everything that has dried on or cooked on food: cast iron, stainless steel pots with that thin residue from cooking beans or the brown bits that didn't come often when I deglazed a pan, cooking utensils, the counter. I soak most things so usually I am scraping off softened food, but some burnt on bits never soften. This works great. These scrapers do not remove the rainbow effect that appears on stainless steel -that is chemical and requires chemical removal (e.g. vinegar). A scrubbie pad works better on some things, but this scraper removes all the stuff that would clog up the scrubbie pad, and the really hard bits that won't come off with a scrubbie pad.If you are looking for a pot scraper, I recommend these. Sure, they would be easy to make if you are so inclined, but you would have to use a hardwood. It looks like a pack of 4 is going to last me quite a while. Best of all, they don't pollute the environment with microplastic particles like the plastic ones do as they wear out (or the lump of plastic when the bulk of the scraper is discarded because it has worn out.

I was keen to get a few more of a certain kind of plastic scraper that I once bought in a store and couldn't find anywhere. Sure enough I found some on amazon but then also saw THESE and took a chance on something better for the environment - but would they work as good? answer's in the title: they're perfect! Now I wish I didn't have my single plastic one

I got it few days ago and I can't stop use this it. It's a perfect multifunctional tool for removing grease from pots and pans. Easy to use and clean. Nice shape. It doesn't scratch surfaces. Natural material. I am absolutely satisfied with this purchase.
