It's harder and harder to find good burnishing tools these days. I use them for bookmaking, and while these are perfectly fine at making creases, they do wear away quickly. I've found that using these to try to mark sharp creases will actually leave plastic streaks on the cloth or paper. Still, these are about the same quality as the much more expensive Fiskars one I got, so it's what's on the market these days.

BurnisherI make greeting cards as a hobby and use 271 gsm paper as my base. It's thick. I was able to easily crease the paper after scoring.Personally, I prefer the curved version as it's a good fit for my hand and the tip is narrow enough to fit in my scoring board. The straight version would be good as a scraper for glued projects.They are plastic but feel strong, despite being lightweight. They would make a good gift for a card maker.
