These two metal flat brackets are exactly as pictured. Very heavy and will do the job. They come with all the screws needed for installing. I'm very impressed by the quality and how smooth they are. They were shipped quickly too.

Nice solid plates with a fairly decent finish. As others have mentioned you will either have to taper the pre drilled holes yourself for a better fit, or use exposed bolt heads for looks.

Very impressed by these mending plates. They're indeed nearly 16" in length and near 5" in width. They're also about 1/8" thick. They come in a nice black powdered finish and don't look like they're prone to rusting, in case you want to use them on something outside. They weigh quite a bit - 2.5 lbs each - so consider this weight if you're planning on using a lot of them. Due to the thickness and strength here, I would definitely recommend them even for structural components. One other thing to note is that they come with a bag of #10 1.5" screws that look more decorative. They also have this nice black powder finish. The screws are totally fine if you're planning on using them on something like furniture. For more structural work, I'd definitely recommend something sturdier. The wholes in the plates are just over 1/4" wide, so they're just asking for 1/4" bolts or some structural lag screws.

Heavy with good thickness. powder coating adds to the look as well as protects steel bracket from rust. Very sturdy and not easy to bend. Provides a good secondary/added strength to whatever you are attaching it too. Adds a nice stylish look as it reinforces. Pleased with the quality, performance and look.

I'm not using this for its intended purpose but it worked out perfectly for what I needed. I have an L shaped computer desk. It's not only cheap like most particle board furniture is now days. It's worse than that. It's hollow like a lot of interior doors are. I have a huge titan sized PC case that when empty was 46 pounds. With the PC built it's got to be around 55 now. So while I'm not worried about the 2 sections splitting in half as I have it reinforced from underneath. I can't magically reinforce the inside to keep the surface from sagging. Slowly over time the sag got worse and worse as shown in the before and after using this bracket pics of its angle vs the monitor. Adding some plexiglass to the feet helped a bit for a while but it still was getting worse. So using this as a platform has done the trick. It's back to level again. These brackets are strong. I have no doubt that they could hold up the PC even if it was on it and the bracket was half way off the desk. I have no issues with this.

Not only were these functional for the Kid’s bed project, but these plates look great! I’m sure these are traditionally used for a pergola, but I’m not traditional. I assumed these would be decorative only, but they were so much more!

Yes, I think this could mend a support or joist. One to each size of the beam you are repairing and off set the plate where the screws land in the wood so they don't hit. This is close to 1/8" thickness and it weighs a lot, so also consider this weight adding to your structure when using several. I've used some 2x6 lumber here for how it appears in reality. The wood screws on this plate are beefier than some I've seen. The holes in the plate are not beveled. So if you're doing some plates and wanting a finished look, the screws here will sit only as flat as my last photo. Finish on the plate seems touch and has a nice matte powdered finish look.Other use: I can see this being used in building a wagon where you need higher sides. Setting them vertically, 3 per side, leaving half of it up as a fence to keep long pieces from rolling out. Holes for metal bungee hooks.

Their ad is very accurate, and I am here to say how pleased I am with the quality and integrity with which these brackets are made. They are flat, square and true. The only thing that is negative is that the screws that are included would mate better to a counter bored hole in the brackets. The plates themselves are a little thin for a counterbore to support the types of screws they included. Either way, there is going to be a protrusion. If they were to overcome these issues, the cost would go up and then you and I probably would be making different decisions at that point. In all honesty, I am going to use these for something a little bit different so none of the aforementioned issues are going to come into play. I just wanted to mention how well they were made and that I would order them again if the need arises. I am happy with my order and I hope this was helpful. ✔️ Thanks!.
