Easy to install, cut panel out of garage door section and insert and fasten. Time will tell on how the vinyl will react with the elements. Recommended for usability.

These vinyl-framed garage door window inserts were a solid upgrade for my garage. The panels are made of plexiglass, not real glass, which I actually prefer for safety and weight reasons. Installation was pretty straightforward — definitely a doable DIY project with just a few basic tools. The frames seem weatherproof and have held up well so far through a couple of storms. That said, the material quality is average — not flimsy, but nothing premium either. The frames feel a bit lightweight, and you’ll want to be careful during installation to avoid cracking the plexiglass. Still, for the price and ease of use, these inserts added a nice touch of light and curb appeal to my garage door.Overall, a good value if you’re looking for a quick and easy upgrade without spending a ton.

This set of garage door windows arrived minimally protected inside of a generic box. No instructions were found in the box. That's my only real complaint. They look and feel well made. Installation is actually pretty easy. Kind of like putting in a doggie-door. They are true to size. Overall, I am happy with them.

These are 2 inches thick, with a frame thickness of 1.6 inches. They are intended for garage doors with insulation. So these aren't really intended for any other type of structure. I really can't think of any type of building, shed, chicken coop, etc, that doesn't use 2x4 construction - which would require a 3.5 inch frame thickness. You could probably retrofit them but you would have to get creative. The build quality is just so so. It's not glass, it's plexiglass. It might yellow over time, particularly if south facing. It's also not as thick as I was expecting. The frame too is fairly thin vinyl - if it's south facing you may experience some warping under the heat of direct sunlight. But if your hole is the right size, this would be a pretty straightforward installation. And they do look nice, initially at least.

This garage door window set is made of vinyl and acrylic, so they don’t rust like metal or need painting like wood. I live in a coastal area with a lot of humidity and these have held up really well. No discoloration or damage even with the salty air and heat. They’re also shatterproof and UV-resistant, which gives me peace of mind with kids playing nearby. Installing them was pretty easy. I’m not very handy, but with a screwdriver and a little help from my wife, we got them all done in under an hour. The instructions were simple and the screws came in the box, so we didn’t have to buy anything extra. Just make sure to peel off the protective film before you start.

This is the easiest job my husband has ever done. After installing it, all our neighbors thought we had bought a new door - making it look like a barn door. Installation is also easy. I strongly recommend them:)
