Using a soft pad definitely helps when trying to ease over edges and corners. Also, helps with rounded pieces just like advertised. These feel like a good set for the price. Holding up well so far.100% recommended.

These foam sanding pads are a game changer for my orbital sander. They work great for smoothing edges on soft woods, holding consistent pressure without over-sanding or gouging the material. The velcro is heavy enough that it holds these securely in place, and the soft and hard cushion options are great for different surfaces. The 8-hole design helps with dust management, and they fit my 5-inch sander as well as the sandpaper alone. Overall, a great value, would recommend.
