About this item

  • Effectively Detect Condensate Overflow: The SS1 condensate overflow switch features a water sealed magnetic reed switch, effectively detects clogged A/C condensate drains and shuts off system to prevent water damage to floors, wall and ceilings; When a blockage occurs, the float within the fitting rises with the rising condensate level; The magnetic element within the float triggers the reed switch to shut down the system and stops operation
  • Easy to Install: Install the SS1 Air Conditioner Float Switch with ease; Low voltage condensate overflow shut off switch can be installed horizontally or vertically, inline or on the primary pan's auxiliary drain outlet by using the included 3/4" adapter, bushing and cap; Besides, you can enjoy the flexibility of installation, as the switch can be installed on a sloping line and does not need to be level or plumb; And then connect the 6ft wire to the either the red or yellow thermostat wires
  • Quality Material: Made of quality Schedule 40 PVC plastic components, this air conditioner float switch ensures a long time use; Well made magnetic reed switch will not stick or rust
  • Easy to Clean: This water float switch is designed with a detachable cap that allows you to remove it with tapered cams for cleaning after prolonged use, ensuring both cleanliness and optimal performance; Tips: you can use PTEE tape for a high watertight seal
  • Wide Application: SS1 condensate float switches can be installed on primary drains or auxiliary drain outlet, easy access to the switch and the primary drain line for service; Every home with an HVAC should have a HVAC float switch

If you're concerned about your furniture, floors, wall and ceilings getting soaked from condensation leaks while using your HVAC, installing a float switch is highly recommended. The

This condensate switch is well made from quality PVC material. The switch is durable. It arrives with easy to follow and understand instructions. Installation was easy and fast. The switch can be installed in either the primary or secondary condensate drain lines. Also it can be installed in a vertical or horizontal configuration. The cap can easily be removed for cleaning and maintenance. I think everyone should have a switch like this installed on their HVAC system so as to avoid a big mess or property damage. The item is as described by the seller. I am very pleased with this item and believe you will be as well. Therefore, Dr. T. highly recommends this product!!

I am glad to add this to my HVAC system. Too many times, the drain has overflowed and flooded half my garage. Not the end of the world, I know, but a nuisance. For those with HVAC equipment in an attic or other section of living space, this would be essential, in my opinion. A minor flood can bring down ceilings, ruin carpet or hardwood floors, and I’ve even seen ruined furniture from condensate flooding. It happens too often to too many people, and I think that something like this should be mandated by building codes. But that probably won't happen, so look out for your own interests, and get one of these installed.

Had a new A/C unit put in and the installer asked for this item. If the pro's like it, it must be good.
