Overall I really like these interface pads for contour sanding. The hook and loop is durable and attaches firmly in place on the sander's baseplate, and the sandpaper holds just as well. Even after several uses with multiple grit changes. the holes line up perfectly with both of my 5" random orbit sanders, and there is no noticeable loss of dust collection when using the vacuum port. The pads are a bit softer than other interface pads I have used in the past, but that actually makes them better at following contours (especially when using mesh sanding discs). They are very well made and work exactly as intended. Great value for the price! I highly recommend them!

not a lot to say here. sticks/holds on really great and let's you adapt to weird indentions/slight curves and such.

These pads do exactly as described. Affix a pad loop-side on the hook of the base place, then attach sandpaper to the hook-side of the pad. Done. The foam cushion feels pretty flimsy but the price is better than some equivalent packs so even if the cushion tears out after a few uses, I'll still be ahead.Recommend for articulated spaces. I'd hate to tear them up on long flat surfaces even if they do reduce vibration in the tool.

I ordered these for a 5 in circular sander as all I had was the hard rubber base. These fit right on there and lined up perfectly and also with a standard 5 inch - 8 hole sanding disc.I noticed a much more comfortable sanding experience and also a smoother finish without rounded edges or holes in the material. I like how this improved everything overall. The disc held well to these and these held well to my sander.Overall, these are great and having never used these before on a sander now I know what I was missing. I would recommend these for a better sanding experience and outcome.

These differ from the original pad on the Black & Decker orbital sander I’m using to refinish some stair treads and risers. Original pad has a rubbery middle while these are a dense, but squishier foam. These are not designed to replace OEM pads, rather to stick on, which will save wear and tear on your original.Too bad my brother didn’t have these when he was doing whatever priject he was doing a couple years ago, because the loops in the perimeter of the OEM pad are now scrunched down, and don’t grip as well as the loops toward the middle. Not that critical in this situation, since I’ll have to scrape, hand sand and use a mouse detailer to get at all the edges and nooks and crannies around the door trim.No comment yet on longevity, as I’ve only used one for a few minutes so far because I’m working on all the edge and detail work first. Thumbs up on pricing, working out to less than 2 bucks per. They attach firmly to both sanding disks and the baseplate in the sander. With the 8-hole design they may not work as well on 5-hole baseplates. I’m using my shop vac to cut down on dust. The additional height might reduce effectiveness of onboard dust collectors.

I have several different orbital sanders by both Porter Cable and Bosch and wanted to find a way to reduce some of the vibrations from the sanding process. These were the perfect setup for both brands, they lined up neatly with the airflow holes. The hook and loop backing allowed them to attach firmly as well allowed for the sandpaper to affix to the cushion without coming off, even at the highest settings.A reduction in the vibrations I felt after putting the pads on was immediately noticeable. Obviously they are not going to be zero, but even a small reduction was better than none. In addition to the reduced felt vibrations I liked that when I took the sandpaper off to change grits, the backing stayed on the sander. I really expected it to come off with the paper but it held fast. On both models. In addition to the vibrations I like that these work well when sanding uneven areas that need to remain so. I make a few pieces where there may be a cove turned into the piece or a small bead and would prefer them to stay as close as possible to my intent. So far the pads have not caused any issues like I have run in to using a sander without the pad. If these allow me to use the sander on the entire project it will save me valuable time. For the $7.99 you receive 4 pads. Ive use 2 of them so far for several hours sanding time and have not noticed any excessive wearing or tearing though I did have to hit them with the compressor to remove a bit of the saw dust that had collected in the holes. I am not sure if it is because I was sanding using some lower grit paper or the wood selection which was on the lower end of the hardness scale. Either way, a quick hit on the air hose and they were fine.I am looking forward to reduced vibrations.

The dust collection holes on these interface pads lined up well with the backing pad of the sander. The interface pad stayed securely fastened to the sanders backing pad while in use. The interface pad did not fly off, come loose or move around while in use on the sander. When I removed the sandpaper from the interface pad, the hook & loop did not come loose or tear off the pad. This was the same when I removed the interface pad from the sanders backing pad. The hook & loop did not stick, come off or tear from the interface pad. These interface pads held up very well. I examined the whole interface pad after initial use didn’t notice any damage or wear & tear to the pads at all. I feel these interface pads are decent quality.
