These are decent, but not as heavy-duty as I had hoped. I'm skeptical about them handling the advertised 800 lbs (see the underside picture for reference). They're quite small and don't appear as large and robust as shown in the advertised images. Each measures a little over 1 inch wide and a little over 2 inches long.

I used these for a different purpose - I was looking for something that I could use to hook my exercise bands around, and these work perfectly for that. I simply installed one at a little higher than waist height, and hooked my exercise band through the caribiner. It works perfectly for doing my arm and shoulder resistance exercises.

I used one of these to hang a chandelier in our outdoor pavilion. I just screwed the eye into the wood and I use one of the included carabiners to hook the chandelier's chain to the eye hole. It's working great and (being secured with 4 screws) seems very sturdy. I'm considering buying another kit to hang a small heater inside of my chicken coop.

Got these for some boho swing seats for our basement and they work great. Very well made, sturdy and strong. They were super easy to install and came with everything but the drill. We have put about 200 pounds on them (swing, me and one kid) and they held up without issues. Plus the kids are pretty rough on them and they are still holding up. I have 1 left and I’m thinking about getting a sensory swing so I’ll update if anything changes. But so far they are great

The Ceiling Hooks Heavy Duty are made from 304 stainless steel, which makes them waterproof, rust-resistant, and durable. This ensures a long service life for the product. With a 1700 lbs load capacity, these hooks can hold up to 1,700 pounds, so I don't have to worry about them dropping. They are also easy to install; simply drill a hole, insert the plastic expansion tube or studs, and screw in the hook. These hooks are versatile and can be used for hammock chairs, porch swings, punching bags, and more. They are great for both indoor and outdoor use, such as in the garage, porch, or even on yachts and boats. The set includes everything needed: 4 square pad eye plates, 4 snap hooks, 16 mounting screws, and 16 plastic expansion tubes.

The listing pictures show you exactly what you'll get and how they can be used. My job is to tell you how well they work. Of course these can be used for all sorts of suspensions but they're advertised as being for hammocks so let's look at that. The physics of hammocks is interesting. If you know some trigonometry, you can calculate forces, but let me tell you from experience that force on the connection points (that's these pad eyes) is tremendous. I could tell you stories... Since your life is hanging by a thread, how strong is that thread? The carabiners are standard steel with interlocking gates. Those are immensely strong. The pad eyes are also standard 6mm stainless loops welded to 3mm perforated base plates. The quality of welds can't be determined definitively without X-ray, but these look excellent. The screws? Also appear standard. 4/eye into solid wood should be plenty. That's 3 potential weak links that appear to be not weak at all. What you attach is more likely to fail than these steel bits. But there's a catch.Remember I said 4 screws/eye into solid wood? Plastic wall anchors are supplied for affixing to masonry, which would also be trustworthy if the holes are drilled properly. (Lead would be better.) But expanding plastic wall anchors are ubiquitously employed screwing to wallboard between studs, which would absolutely not be trustworthy in this case. This size pad eye often warns against using for overhead lifting, or any lifting of humans. Yet this product shows hanging devices designed to hold humans, suspended from ceilings, without explanation. The explanation would be that you need to replace all 4 screws with longer ones that reach through the ceiling sheathing well into solid wood. It's irresponsible not to warn people that 4 small, closely-spaced wall anchors in drywall, pulled perpendicular to it, will not hold your weight. This little box of hardware comes with no printed material at all.If you think that goes without saying, everybody knows that, good for you, but everybody doesn't know that. Unless sternly warned not to, someone is bound to try hanging a chair or hammock from nothing but drywall. That might even hold for a while, but when it fails, it's liable to be sudden and complete failure. So my review is that these eyes are good quality and if you know what you're doing should serve you well. If you don't, you could hurt yourself badly.

These are sold as swing hangers but they are way too small. I've ordered other swing hangers and they are 5x heavier and quite a bit larger with real lag screws. I think these are fine for hanging plants and decorative things but there is no way I would trust these to hold a full size adult on a porch swing.

These are a great deal for hammock ceiling hangers. They’re not the most robust thing you’ll find if you’re willing to spend more money, but they do pretty well. I did use a couple of my own longer screws since these ones are only about an inch and a half, and my ceiling Beams start about three-quarter inch beyond the ceiling. But a second one that I put on a center beam where the beam is closer to the ceiling, these screws worked fine. So I would say that if your studs are immediately on the other side of the drywall, then these will work fine. Otherwise, just use some of your own longer screws. Since each hanger has holes for four screws, they should hold in great. So far, mine are doing just fine.Highly recommended!
