I use this item for a humidifier

One filter from this package lasted for 20 days (with everyday flipping) until it became completely dry everywhere except the submerged part. Which makes it $0.20 per day for this item. Original filters are way more expensive per item but they last for 5.5 weeks each. Which makes it $0.22 per day. So this filter is about 10% cheaper to use than the original. And according to our humidity meter - performance wise they are about the same.

If you don’t need that much moisture output, then these are an economic alternative to the original Honeywell filters since they do not wick as much water. However, if you’re looking to crank the humidity up, you’ll need to pay more. For example, the Honeywell’s will wick a gallon/8hr on high; these take close to 18hrs to go thru the same gallon.
