I feel there is a design flaw for the dispenser on these. There is an o- ring on only one end. It also has a small hole on the side I'm sure it has a purpose but not efficient. So after I had filled it(note that opening is quite small not an easy task) and looked for possible areas for the contents to escape around the thread none but noticed it leaking at the side with the hole and not the lever side, also these are not proportioned like the vintage ones taller thinner not balanced. Very disappointed in this product.

At 2 1/2 inches tall, they fit nicely into your bag. Use when eating on the go, Salt in one and pepper in the other, two clear and two amber colored glass with plastic top that screws on. They have a unique way of dispensing, took a bit to figure it out, no instructions to really explain it. There is a small lever you can spin 360 degrees around. so you go to one side and it will fill the small compartment,(you have to turn it upside down) then spin the other and it will dispense just that small amount and stop. Spin and fill, spin and release. This way it won't open up in transit and spill all it's contents. Just have to play around with it. Holds quite a bit of salt. I had to use a fine ground salt and fine ground pepper.
