These are a nice deep half pan. They are a good stamping, but they are thin. Not a problem if you are careful. If you were to drop a heavy knife, I'm pretty sure it would pierce these pans. They are definitely not like the pans made 50 years ago.

These are very light duty but are just fine for a low volume kitchen. We use them in our refrigerated salad bar instead of in our steamtable. Work great

These are well built and deep. Not as thick as other chafing pans but the edges are smoothed out to prevent injuries and they’re not heavy when transporting or transferring food. Maybe with the steel being thin it keeps the food warmer and for longer periods of time. The pans can be stocked inside each other and I was happy that most of the food from the backyard shenanigans were able to fit into these pans making cleanup easier with less pots and pans to worry about. I only wish that covers were included.
