Pros: Usually tree stand pegs are so dull you need a sledge hammer to install them, these are super sharp nice thread. Yes you will still want to have a good sized cresent wrench or similar to crank them into the tree. Shipped in a very nice carry case and pegs arrived in perfect condition. They even went to the effort of covering the points of the threads for safety so they don't get dinged up or rip out the packing. WELL DONE! Knurled anti-slip treads so you don't find yourself laying at the bottom of the tree wondering what happened. Safety anti-slip end of pegs so your feet dont slide off sideways.CONS: ZERO, this is the best pegs I have seen yet. Very nice quality.Summary: Well designed tree climbing foot pegs that should last almost as long as the tree itself (and maybe even longer). These are a seriously excellent bargain for price of $16. Highly recommended. If you check my other reviews, you know I don't pull any punches and report it like I see it so you know this is an exceptional product. A rare find these days that you actually get MORE than your money's worth.

These are a nicely packaged set of screw in climbing steps. Comparable to the heavy duty screw-ins that some big name outdoor places sell. They have nice sharp points to get them started in the tree. Knurled step surface to reduce the possibility of a slip. Kit also comes with two camera hooks which can also double as gear hanging hooks. They are lighter weight material so don't mistake them as step hooks. Could be an issue when out in the field setting up before sunrise. They come with a nice storage box but not something I would carry out in the field as it's too bulky. I just put the individual steps in my hunting pack outer pockets.

These are as heavy duty as any others that I own. With a nice finish, though I expect that will wear as they all do.Really the bonus is that the come in a very compact case plus have two camera mounts. I guess the kit is actually meant for installing trail cams up high since four of these aren't enough to get high enough to a tree stand, but they were supplemental for me so four was plenty. Certainly a complete kit to get trailcams high enough to deter theft.Overall a decent set with bonus case and trailcam mounts.

These tree steps are sturdy and well built. The threads are deeply cut and sharp, and trying to screw them in to hemlock or hardwoods, a 3/16" pilot hole using a battery operated drill makes instalation a lot easier. The surface of the foot rest is knurled for better traction and the tip is canted upward and inward. My biggest issue is that I have 14EE feet and with insulated hunting boots, I can't get a full foot purchase on the step. This makes it awkward when climbing on them, but this is a personal issue rather than a manufacturing defect. The trail camera holders are likewise well made and a nice addition to the kit. They are not adjustable for angle, so you will have to screw them into the tree at whatever angle you want the camera to face (I like angling them downward from an elevated height).Having everything in a small plastic case makes it easier for transportation and you don't end up with a screw end tearing a hole in your pack. There are certainly cheaper screw steps out there at any large chain store, but these are better quality in my opinion.

Rarely does a produce exceed my expectations, but that is the case with these screw in steps. First of all the case they provide is a nice touch. Once I install these on my tree in the woods I won't need the case, but I can repurpose it for something else. The trail camera mounts are a nice bonus as well. These could be potentially used to mount a GoPro or self filing camera up at your tree stand, or they could be used as a bow hanger as well; another versatile addition to this package. For the main product, these screw in steps are heavy duty! I have zero concerns about using them once appropriately screwed into the tree. The augers come protected by rubber tips and are sharp. If possible, I suggest drilling a 1/4" pilot hole @ 2" deep. This will assist in the fastening process by keeping the bore on track, but is not 100% necessary. Fully seated, the auger will dig in 2.75". The knurling on the step portion is aggressive, well done, and certainly will aid in traction. The step portion is 4.25" wide, which is adequate. The end of the step kicks up a little to bolster the outside of your boots as you climb. Spaced 20" apart, which is this four pack of steps will only get you 6.5' off the ground. If you desire more height, then you'll have to purchase more or use an additional climbing stick.Overall, this product gets two big thumbs up from me. I would recommend this to anyone looking for screw in steps.

Folks! If you are looking for the best set of tree steps ever, look no further. I am so impressed with the quality of this set, I wish I had of found these years ago. It comes in a set of 4 screw in tree steps and two screw in trail camera mounts, all contained in a small hard shell plastic storage case. The treads on the steps are excellent and the screw in part is long enough to make you feel secure while climbing to your tree stand. The trail camera mounts screw into my trail camera easily. The only thing I would change about the trail camera mounts would be to be able to angle them. This really is a great set and it's incredibly affordable at only $18.00. If I could give this 10 stars, I would.

First off, do note that you're getting 7 items when by this; 4 of the tree steps, 2 camera mounts, and a solid case. Don't overlook the importance of that case, because all of the other parts have a very sharp point, naturally, and you don't want those floating around in your camping or hunting gear where it could rip or tear something.Second, the steps themselves are super sturdy, solidly built. I'm not the least bit worried about these breaking or pulling loose from a healthy tree.Third, the screw-end tips are well designed, making it fairly easy (considering how thick these things are) to get them started and into the tree trunk. That said, it's a good idea to have a mallet with you to give it a smack to help you get started easily, then it screws right in. Don't forget the obvious, of course: that not all trees are the same. Getting it to go into the side of applying or fir will take less effort than screwing it into an oak.fourth, this is not just for hunting. I occasionally do camping where, instead of a tent, I'm using a hammock. Especially when you've got a long spread between two trees, need a little more height for attaching them to the trees than what you can reach from the ground. I find these perfect for that, especially handy when it's time to break camp and need to go up the tree a little ways again. It's equally handy if you are trying to teach yourself slacklining, which usually involves having a "training wheels" line above your head to help you catch yourself while you are getting the hang of slacklining. But getting that in where it needs to be — about 7 feet above your actual slackline, which is itself 2 to 3 feet off the ground (so you are dragging the ground in the middle as you walk on it), and it means you need ideally to put that training wheels line about nine or 10 feet up the tree trunk. Try THAT without a stepladder or, something much more compact, these screw-in tree steps.I haven't yet tried the screw-in camera mounts, but it's a brilliantly simple design: essentially a lighter weight version of the screw-in steps with a built-in camera mount for attaching a GoPro or whatever.Add all this up and you'll understand why I gave it a full 5 stars!
