This vent cap is advertised at 4” then the full description says its 4.3”Its more like 4.5” and 100% does not fit 4” single wall but for me it didnt matter so i screwed it onto my pipe .

Replaced my old rusty galvanized one. Fit the stove pipe well, though I put a couple screws in to secure it. Very happy with this and the price is very low compared to what I could find in my local hardware store.

This vented chimney cap is just the thing to keep birds from falling into or otherwise entering my stovepipe. Every year I have a couple of starlings end up in my wood-burning stove. They scratch at the inside of the pipe trying to escape but never do until I open the stove door and release them. This is terrifying to me, the bird, and great fun for my cat. I am relieved to discover this product to avoid having to deal with the problem going forward. This pipe cap should be standard equipment for all houses with a wood burning stove vented up through the roof. It is well made and should outlast my roof.
