  • Clear Anodized Finish: Anodizing is a process that improves the properties of metals and other materials by creating a thin layer of oxide on their surface. This process can has many benefits, including: Wear resistance: The oxide layer makes metals more resistant to scratches and wear and corrosion. Aesthetics: Anodizing can make metals more suitable for painting and dyeing, allowing for a variety of colors and finishes. For example on this product the anodizing color choice is clear satin which creates a uniform clear clean look while mantaining the look of aluminum. Adhesion: Anodized surfaces provide better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal.

I have a basement egress well that had a home made cover that was unsightly-see picture on right. I got quotes for custom covers, that were beyond my budget, so decided to make my own. I bought these 1"x1"x1/8" irons along with a 6' 1.5"x1.5"x1/8" piece from same vendor. These along with a large sheet of polycarbonate and some aluminum pop rivets, and the result is a nice looking cover (picture on left) that was a third the cost of a purchased custom made cover.I am very impressed with the quality and finish of these pieces. The finish is almost as if it is "finished" (coated) rather than mill finish. It is mill finish, but very nice looking. Would definitely buy again.

This works GREAT as a straight edge for a circular saw. All I need to do is clamp it down with my squeeze clamps. It is a lot cheaper than the "saw guides" sold.

Its a piece of alum. angle iron, it was .061 short on the lenght but o'well, it works for what I needed.
