Mill finish allows for several secondary processes, including plating, painting, welding, and powder coating. Weld on hinges can also be used to secure doors where the door needs to be easily removable, or hinge can be inverted before welding for secure applications.

I have been welding bullet hinges for 13 years, and i have never ever seen an aluminum one until now. Hundreds of steel, and 1 time a 316 stainless set, pretty slick. But these aluminum ones are primo my friend, the shaft is stainless, which is the only thing that really has to be strong. The material welded good, so. And aluminum can be hit or miss- some stuff is just not weldable. Idk the alloy but this material welded just like 6061. I am not a good AL welder, I am just trying to get my hand back so, sorry for the sloppy work in the pictures. 13 years of mostly welding steel, and stainless. This is a great price for the hinge, I bought a couple sets
