-The 17cm short black power cord is a reverse polarity converter, not extension wire. It is used to reverse the original polarity of the power supply output port ( reverse the internal positive pole to negative , and the external negative pole to positive). Instructions on how to choose a suitable adapter:

1. Check Voltage Please find the spec label of your device and check the working voltage. It should be among 3V~36V DC, not lower than 3V or higher than 36V DC. Otherwise, your device will not work or be damaged.

2. Check Current Check the max current your device will draw. It should be equal to or less than 4A, such as 500mA,1A, 1.5A, 2A, 2.5A, 3A, 3.5A, 4A. Otherwise, your device won’t work well and the PS will be damaged very soon.

3. Check Plugs Check the power input port of your device. The PS is equipped with 14 pcs frequently-used DC tips. Please confirm wether it fits for your device before buy. If you can 't confirm, please measure it with a ruler.

4. Check Original PS If you have a original power supply for reference, their output voltage, plug size, polarity should be the same . If our PS’s current is equal to or higher than original one’s, then our PS will work with your device.

Pretty good quality item for the price. The voltage selector is a dial and is VERY touchy causing the voltage to 'float' (kind of like how an analog video game joystick drifts). This makes it impossible to set and maintain exact voltage. Works fine for older electronic devices that will tolerate variation in voltage but not recommended for uses that require exact voltage settings.

The equipment would only turn on at the lower voltage and when turning the dial higher, it turned off. It did work after multiple attempts at turning it off and on, but now it doesn't work at all. We were trying to deal with the problem since we don't like returning things. It seems that the product support is just generic and doesn't provide an appropriate solution. Very disappointed in the product. A return policy should be available.

Charger worked great! Adjustability of voltage is great but fine tuning the voltage was a little tricky. If this had two knobs , one for large adjustments and the other knob for fine tune this thing would be super awesome! Otherwise, voltage displayed is only off by .2 but that works for me. Better to be under than over by and risk destroying the connected item. The only other thing with the multitude of connectors. No handy bag or case to store it in. I can definitely see myself misplacing it in the future.

This is a great little power supply for providing various voltages to random devices you lost the charger to. I found a used camcorder at Goodwill for $5 that didn't have a power supply. I only needed it for a few weeks while I converted old family videos from High8 to digital. This had the right size barrel connector to swap into it and I dialed in the correct voltage for the camcorder. No muss. No fuss. Completed my project and now I can donate the camera back to Goodwill for someone else to use (but keep this little beauty around).One thing of note that I wish they'd improve, however: The dial is SUPER touchy. I'm talking "breath on it and it'll jump by .1V" kind of touchy. I highly recommend dialing in the voltage BEFORE you attach it to anything, as the sweep is very fast and very twitchy until you dial it in.

This is a really good, well made power supply. You can dial in the exact voltage you need. It has a nice readable display that is plenty bright. Great product.

Works good but use with caution. You could easily and instantly damage expensive electronics because voltage is variable and it's easy to accidentally change with a light touch of the control knob. I recommend using a meter to confirm the voltage before plugging anything in and then carefully put the control in a place where it will not fall or be disturbed.
