Not as good as the ones we used in Hawaii lei making class. These are much thinner wire, making them flimsy (especially the long ones). Also, the needle eye is very small, limiting the size of the thread you can use. I like the style we used in Hawaii where the needle wire is folded over to make the needle "eye". You can slip the thread right in, making them easier to use.

I haven't seen lei needles since we lived in Hawaii. I did bring a few back with me thinking that would last a while, but I was wrong. I was able to make some nice lei's for a graduation recently with some local flowers from the florist. They turned out great. You can also use these for beading, ribbon lei's, and so forth. Very pleased with these, I'll be picking up some more.

The needles are perfect for lei making. the only issue is the person from Amazon who packed my order bent them in half.

Worked fine for petals and leaves but not for full flowers. This picture is a lei of just petals & flowers, I think I’ll order longer needles next time, it would’ve made making this lei easier. These needles aren’t for leis with full flower heads, 2 broke while trying to make lei of roses.

not for lei making- the needles broke into pieces, very flimsy and eye was too small for lei making thread. Not sure what these are - but they are NOT for lei making

The needle is very thin and easily broke making a lei. The eye is too small for sewing thread.
