Imaging micropython to the board revealed that it was not an S3 variant that was initially expected. Should have expected this at the price. It should still work for the intended uses for now, so won't dock any stars.esptool.py v4.8.1Serial port /dev/ttyUSB0Connecting....Detecting chip type... Once the iron took care of the joints and the pliers corrected the bent pin, I connected it to the workstation to target an installation of blinker (using arduino studio).Unfortunately, this didn't work, as the application kept complaining that it wasn't an S3 chip. So I moved on to testing with esptool to find out that it wasn't an S3 chip at all.If you're considering a purchase of an S3, please look elsewhere. BUT if you're just looking for a cheap ESP32S chip, this may do your project the perfect amount of good! Just be aware that there may be QA issues that need to be corrected prior to use!
I'm a real customer

Don't feel like using those cheap breadboards with loose and faulty connects? Why didn't i discover these sooner!!! Love the screws for securing wires.Use one of these for your projects and it's SOOO much easier.

They work great for my esp32 boards, much better than using jumper wires and without having to solder connections on permanently. They feel solid and the connections all hold tight. They work exactly as they are supposed to and for a great price.

I've used a wide variety of small microcomputer modules and was disappointed with these ESP32 modules. Any library uses a huge amount of memory and takes an inordinate amount of time to compile and download. What I try to do now is set it for a regular Arduino module (like a Nano) at least to see if it will compile without the library.I was also disappointed that they have the classic bluetooth instead of BLE (bluetooth low energy). That means that I cannot use these modules for applications that require or use BLE.Another issue is that the A/D is only 10 bit with apparently 12 bit not being usable.Overall a somewhat limited module in terms of interfaces and capabilities.

I love how easy this makes wiring up projects, my only complaint is that the wire terminals are pretty small. I bought these for LED lights strip projects and it's a struggle to get 18AWG stranded wires into the small terminals.
