Of course broken exhaust bolt left rear, tried to extract it. No luck, bought this as a solution and pleasantly surprised how well it worked but can be tricky to install.Fits 6.0

Used this after not wanting to mess with the drivers rear exhaust manifold bolt being broken off. Was amazed at how easy the installwas and the fact that it worked made me happy! On the install for the drivers rear I did relocate the ground on the back of the head because it needed that bolt hole to fit correctly but there’s a hole that’s the same size and thread pitch on the center of the head just above the exhaust manifold.

A little painful since it was the rear drivers exhaust manifold bolt on my 2010 2500hd sierra. I managed to do it without taking anything apart. You can move the firewall shield back a little which makes starting to bolts easier. I used two people one from above, one from below to hold the bracket in place. Took a couple hours of trying to figure out how to lay on the motor and from below squeezing the hand between the driveline and exhaust. Watch a video, it will help! Good luck, cheap fix and they work?

This helped my very loud annoying exhaust leak that's been ticking and sounding like tweety bird! It seems to work pretty good so far. The only issue I had with it, was the paint being so thick on the threads of the bolt. I had to use my little torch to heat the bolt up and finally I could tighten it to the manifold.

This exhaust manifold repair bolt was a lifesaver! It had everything I needed to get the job done right. The parts were all high quality and fit perfectly. Saved me a ton of money compared to taking it to a mechanic. I'd definitely recommend this kit to anyone needing to fix their exhaust manifold.

It took me and a buddy about an hour and a half to get the rear drivers side in. Were both handy guys and needed ramps and shallow flex head wrenches, but we got it in and it did in fact stop the leak, smell and engine noise. Keep in mind they must be retightened after a few heat/cool cycles.

The good-Clamp is made from thick steel; I assume it could withstand the required clamping pressure without bending. The bad- Clamp doesn’t fit. Hole spacing is off by about a 1/16” / 1MM; not much but enough that the bolts don’t line up with the existing holes in the block. The cutout for the temperature sensor needs to be enlarged or located about an 1/8” higher so that it’s not contacting the sensor. The width of the clamp (top to bottom) needs to be reduced by about an 1/8” also to give clearance to the wiring harness. Lastly, no instructions specifically no torque spec’s included. Chances are you wouldn’t break the bolts by over torquing them; but considering that they have no grade marks or indication of what they are made from and are just “mystery metal” it’s possible. If you are buying this because of broken bolts in your block, the last thing you want to do is add more. It’s possible I just got a bad one, and to be fair I could probably make this one work with a drill press and angle grinder, but I shouldn’t have to do that and if I’d known it would require 30+ minutes of trial and error modification and test fitting, I would have just spent the extra $8 and bought the Doorman clamp in the first place.

Seems to be built well enough and it stopped my exhaust leak at the manifold. As far as installing it, take your time and disconnect/unhook what you need to, to get access to install it. The bolt size is 16mm, I’d recommend a short socket and 2 short or 1 medium extensions and a ratchet of course. A little bit of anti seize can’t hurt either, but may not really be necessary. Like I said in the title, I’m considering it a temporary fix and will replace all the bolts in the near future.

I bought two and one bolt head broke off driver's front two bolt heads broke off passenger driver front easy to put in nice slot for the sensor passenger rear did not fit well because of the dipstick in the way I will have to make a heat resistant sleeve so the vibration doesn't rub a hole in it all in all satisfied with purchase and fix the problem that I purchased it for no more leaking exhaust

Received, but one of the three bolts was the wrong size (smaller). Not a big deal, I’ll be changing it out anyway.
