The 3M Filter Adapter 603 Along with the 3M parts listed below make a fantastic N95 filter system for working in my shop.3M 501 Filter Retainer3M N95 Respirator FilterI use this combination for filtering particles such as dust grinding sanding and even sweeping the floor. After you obtain your 3M or compatible mask, you can use this system and have an extremely effective particulate filter system. With the 10 packs of 3m N95 filters it is also very cost effective. When I am working with chemicals such as fiberglass resin or epoxy or anything with a nasty chem smell I switch over to the 3M Respirator Cartridge 6003.Thank you to 3M for making these wonderful products to keep me healthy when I am working in my shop with dust or chemicals. If you ever read this 3m guys, how about you develop a mask system that can work with or have reading type glasses built in. I really need that and I'm going to guess other people do also.

I got a set of these to use with my 3M half face respirator, and of course they fit perfectly. I have several different full-blown cartridges, but I didn't want to block up an expensive cartridge with spray paint. Sometimes all I need is some basic dust protection when I'm working. But here's the thing - you will also need to order the covers for them, which is 3M part number 501, and some of the 3M part number 5P71 cotton filters. Once you have all that, you put these on your mask in place of a regular filter. Then you put a cotton filter in the cover, and snap it onto these. Voila, an inexpensive filter that works great for spraying paint, cutting wood, or sanding drywall.

I'm using these with the following as part of my family wildfire protection pack WITHOUT a 3M cartridge.* 3M 7500 Sereis Half Mask https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004HXBCMG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1* 3M 6000 Series Particulate Filter https://www.amazon.com/3M-5P71PB1-Particulate-Filter-40-Filters/dp/B016HG2G0M/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=3M+5P71PB1+6000+Series+Particulate+Filter+P95%2C+40-Filters&qid=1621358445&sr=8-5* Filter cover https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087JP45CS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Everything fits great together and should offer excellent particulate filtration and breathability without contributing more disposable masks to the landfill.

Bought these to fit 3M filters on a BreathBuddy mask. They fit well, but have not actually used them on a job yet.

This adapter along with part 501 are ideal for making a super lightweight setup to hold the 5N11 N95 filters. It's easy to setup and a 10 pack of N95 filters is inexpensive and readily available, even during the current shortages. This makes it one of the few ways people outside of healthcare can get real, genuine N95 filters made by 3M.

Use with 3M Respirator Filter Retainer 501. Fits my mask(s). Allows great air flow. Lighter than a Chem filter set up.A little lower profile than a Chem filter as well. Allows good vision and weight distribution.Except for the price - Who could complain?

If you are using the P95 filter (10-pack) and you have no need for anything more than particulate protection you need these to go under them. These serves as a platform to connect to your mask and to raise and provide channels for air to flow through your P95 filters. If you are using a nuisance fumes filter you do not need this.My set up is as follows...- - - - Everything fits like a glove and works very well together to keep my lungs safe. If I need protection from organic compounds I can easily add one under this.
