I used these as part of a Halloween display, inside a ring of stones to look like a campfire. I modified the cloth flame, making it shorter, and then loosely sewing together the top so it would "flicker". Otherwise, the sock was too long and did not look like a flame. The effect was great. I plan to keep the campfire out for the holidays, swapping the gargoyle for penguins. I'll add another picture once they are out.

Will wk well with my haunted yard display. Was trying to mimic the Spirit Halloween store design, for the 2020 season, on a smaller scale. It's ok. I'll definitely be trading up, next season.

This item is the worst purchase! It does not work when plugged in and does not have a on-off switch either. I plugged it in and it is DEAD ON ARRIVAL - now I have to return it and go through this whole process - NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PURCHASE
