I needed to replace the door strip after having the rubber tear away from the old aluminum and rubber insulation strip on one of my exterior doors.I found this one on Amazon, and I liked the idea of one that was a one-piece design, and attached using adhesive.After placing my order it arrived very quickly.With my initial inspection I was very pleased. The material is a soft but sturdy rubber or silicone type material. It's fairly thick, but is still very flexible. The sweep portion is made with hollow tubes through the length which should create extra insulation.Installing it couldn't be much easier. You first clean the bottom face of your door using the included moist wipes. Next, you cut the strip to the width of your door. Then they recommend using a blow dryer to heat the strip a bit before installation. Finally, you peel off the tape backing and simply stick it to the bottom of your door, assuring that the strip sets against the threshold.I cut mine just a fraction longer than needed, then used a razor knife to get the exact length. The material also seemed to stretch just a tad while being adhered to the door, so a trim finished it off nicely.Once it was installed, it looked very clean and professional.It also performs very well. It sealed the bottom of the door against air leakage, and slides over the carpet nicely while opening or closing the door. We're not feeling any drafts from the door any longer.Another great thing about this is that you get enough for two standard size doors!Based on the quality, the ease of installation, the performance, and the great price, I would definitely recommend this door strip bottom insulation for your home.

This is really easy to set up. The strip does great to cover the bottom of the door. It slides effortlessly and I am going to buy more. It blocks out all the breeze from going.Overall it's a great buy. The rubber is high quality and sticks to the door. It is very thick so it blocks a lot of the draft.

This is perfect. I attached 3 in about 15 minutes. I used regular scissors to cut and had no difficulties. I did as directed and heated the strip and went one step further and used the hair dryer to heat the door. It worked flawlessly. I did heat it too long on one door and the adhesive strip came off of the product, but it was easily put back on and I've been so pleased. These are worth every cent.

I have been using this for a few weeks now.As each days fluctuate, I can't say for sure that it makes a big difference. Each room is also different (one room doesn't have a desktop, while another room tends to have the door opened), but I want to say it does keep my room warmer than the rest of the house!I think it works well by trapping heat, if the room is warmer to begin with (someone in there, desktop or many electronics on).However, I already noticed that it also traps scent - for us, nothing bad, but it feels a bit more stifling, but so nice and warm compared to the cold hallway.So in the cold weather, I am really liking this for our door (we have a huge gap between the door and floor for just this one room - very odd).I will have to see how I feel about it once it is warmer.The other thing we had a bit of issue is although we got one corner to stick on at the right height, we accidentally let the middle slant too low, so that it drags on the ground instead of barely brushing it... the end results is that the door opens and close fine, but has a bit of tension (due to the drag) and a very strange squaking sound of silicone plastic on vinyl floor.We had to trim the middle part a bit (very hard to do) to stop the noise and dragging. It doesn't look great, but as it works for now, we won't replace it yet. We actually might just wait to do so next winter, as there is a chance we want to peel it off for the summer.I highly suggest you take your time and make sure stripe is positioned properly to prevent dragging on the ground (if it is supposed to, then if you have vinyl flooring, you may have to deal with the weird squeak that will occur).I got the white color and it matches my white door fine.
