One of the threaded holes was plugged with production waste. Could not get it out.

I replaced similar eye-bolts, with these threaded eyes that have a solid ring. These eyes seem like they would withstand a prying tool much better than a rolled ring would. Even though my padlock is super heavy duty, it's now the weakest part of my lock.

These are super sturdy and are drilled in to a 2 x 8 in my ceiling to suspend various things in my garage. The main point I use them for is a simple hoist to suspend things for paint. I've only tested up to 100 pounds when it comes to some wood projects, but that's more than enough utility for my purpose.

CONCLUSION: 100% recommended. I consider these rings between good-to-have and must-have hardware. These rings are stronger, with more lifting capacity than most and are rust resistant. They are very versatile as you can configure figure them for back-to-back use, single use, opposite ends of a threaded rod, and more. Use them for lifting and for tie down anchors. I'm sure there are more purposes I haven't thought of. I'm glad I purchased them before I need them because I will need them.FEATURES: These are well made. The casting marks have been mostly ground smooth. However, if you are going to use rope with these, I would suggest grinding or filing the inside diameter of the ring completely smooth. The ring's ID is a little over 1". The overall diameter measured from the flat bottom to the top of the ring is 2". The threads are nicely tapped and a bolt will easily thread into into it. Moreover, the threaded hole is properly centered and the bottom is machined flat. This ring will fit onto the hook of a cable puller for lifting or dragging. It is made of stainless steel as tested with a magnet.
